Catechism On Fire is designed to make the Catechism of the Catholic Church easier, more inviting and more shareable.

The Catechism contains nearly 3,000 paragraphs along with thousands of Scripture references, cross-references and footnotes. You do not have to read it from beginning to end. Topics, Lookup, Table of Contents, Adoration, Saints and Stories give you several ways to jump in and begin exploring.

The Catechism constantly points to Scripture and to other Catechism paragraphs. Inline cross-references make those connections easier to follow while you read, helping you explore the fuller context without repeatedly losing your place.

Catechism On Fire dynamically uses authentic Catechism content from vatican.va and scborromeo2.org, with the source selectable where appropriate. The goal is not to replace the Catechism, but to make it easier to enter the text, explore it and keep reading.

Use the Table of Contents, work with the Catechism's In Brief summaries, or use the Quiz to test your knowledge of the Catechism. Filters and expandable sections help keep larger collections manageable on a phone.

Topics, Saints, Stories and other resources have direct links that can take another person straight to what you want them to explore. Catechism paragraph lookups are especially simple: catechismonfire.org/1324 opens paragraph 1324, /1322-1327 opens a range, and /1324,1374 opens selected paragraphs. Look for the 🔗 throughout the site.

The distinctive color scheme throughout Catechism On Fire is inspired by the colors of the Vatican's Swiss Guard. It gives the site a recognizable Catholic visual identity while helping organize buttons, highlights and other visual cues.
